  • How many units can I host on the platform?

    There are no limits to the number of units you can host on Sunryde’s platform. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for vehicle regulations.
  • How are payments processed, and are there any fees?

    Payments are processed through Stripe, and Sunryde deducts a platform fee from each rental transaction. The fee depends on the transaction and any additional services the host or renter selects. Hosts receive payments weekly based on the rentals completed during the week.
  • What happens if I damage a bike during my rental?

    If you opted for a protection plan, report the damage to Sunryde and the host immediately. If the damage exceeds minor issues, you may not continue using the bike until Sunryde confirms the next steps. Failure to report damage may void the protection plan. Without the protection plan, the host is responsible for the repairs, but you may still be held liable for the damage depending on the situation.
  • What should I do if a bike is stolen during my rental?

    If a bike is stolen, you must immediately contact both the host and Sunryde to report the theft. You should contact Sunryde at theft@sunryde.com and file a police report within 6 hours of discovering the theft. If available, you must also return any keys to the host. Sunryde recommends that hosts insure their units for added protection.
  • Do I need insurance to rent a bike?

    Sunryde offers optional protection plans for renters, but these do not replace personal insurance. Hosts may also provide their own insurance, but renters should check local laws and personal coverage options for added protection.
  • Who is responsible for maintaining the bikes?

    Hosts are responsible for maintaining the bikes they list on the platform. Sunryde provides optional maintenance packages for hosts, but regular upkeep, safety, and legal compliance remain the host's responsibility.
  • What are the fees associated with cancellations?

    Cancellations may incur fees based on the timing and the host's cancellation policy. Renters can cancel within a specific time window to avoid fees. Hosts can also cancel a reservation, though repeated cancellations may result in penalties or listing demotion.
  • How do protection plans work?

    Sunryde offers optional protection plans that cover certain damages or theft for both renters and hosts. However, these plans do not replace traditional insurance, and coverage is limited to the terms outlined in the plan. Renters are encouraged to review the details before selecting a plan.
